Frequent Liming

Residents of Bagatelle, Tobago have raised growing concerns regarding the frequent liming that takes place in certain areas of the community, particularly along the roadside and near residential homes. While social gatherings are a normal part of Caribbean culture, the scale and frequency of these gatherings have begun to negatively impact the peace, safety, and overall well-being of residents.
Many of these liming activities occur late into the night and sometimes extend into the early hours of the morning. Loud music, shouting, and general noise disturbances make it difficult for nearby residents to rest, especially for families with young children, elderly persons, and individuals who must wake early for work or school.
In addition to the noise issue, there are also concerns about littering and the improper disposal of bottles, food containers, and other waste left behind after these gatherings. This creates an unsightly environment and can attract pests, affecting the cleanliness and health standards of the community.
